Thank you, Chair.
On behalf of Australia, Canada and the United Kingdom, we disassociate from Iran's appointment as Vice Chair of the Bureau of the UN Forum of Forests.
Iran holding such a position damages the credibility of this Forum. The Iranian regime's abhorrent human rights violations, its ongoing threats to the countries of its region, and its destabilising conduct undermine multilateralism and the international rules-based order.
